Workshop Summary
First time homebuyers and certain pre-existing homeowners can now get a tax credit when purchasing a home. There are always changes with our tax laws! Big news is that the First Time Home Buyer Credit was extended and there are new stipulations and income changes.
More BIG news is that certain homeowners can now qualify for up to $6,500 tax credit for purchasing a new home. Yes, that's right, certain existing homeowners can now qualify for a tax credit on a home purchase! Find out if they need to sell their existing home or not to obtain the tax credit.
Come and learn the specifics of the new tax law changes. The different rules that apply depending upon whether a home was purchased in 2008, 2009 or in 2010 will also be reviewed.
