The Bank of Colorado, in partnership with the Governor’s Energy Office is offering a special financing product to Colorado residents. The Energy Star Mortgage offers qualified participants one discount point on mortgage rates to fund the purchase of green homes or the refi and green renovation of existing homes.

his is an extraordinary program that overlays existing loan products including conventional 30 year, FHA or 203k mortgage loans. In addition to current low rates, the discount point is used to buy-down the interest even further. With this program homeowners can fund energy-efficient upgrades, obtain a lower interest rate and decrease their home energy costs all in one step.
