Boulder Colorado Budding of Buds

Boulder Colorado Budding of Buds

At last we are starting to see a few signs of spring here in Boulder beyond the hot/cold flashes and the on-again/off-again snow storms. Yesterday while on a short walk around sunset, I noticed a couple of trees starting to bud—so I now declare the Boulder budding of the buds has begun.

The photographs turned out okay but the background didn’t show up too good. In fact, it didn’t show up at all. Anyway, it looks like spring has indeed arrived here in Boulder. It was only a few days ago that we had snow. Tuesday morning we had about 2 inches but it was gone before noon. I am crossing my fingers that we won’t see any more for a long time.

You know John, it happens so fast too.  Seems like jus the other day I say those tiny little buds on the trees down in Georgia, now everything is that pretty bright green spring color and the trees are begining again to give shade already.  My tulips have bloomed and I've got herbs growing already.  I love spring.  Your pictures are great and I'm certainly happy spring is arriving for all of us.  Winter this year seemed awful brutal in the US.  I'm certain we are all ready for spring.

Spring is such a beautiful time of year - here it seemed the oak trees were full of dead leaves one day and almost over night full of green leaves, buds and pollen everywhere!
