A Simple Dandelion
I love how Mother Nature peeps out at the world in the most unsuspecting places. This dandelion was growing off alone in a small patch of grass along beside a rocky trail in the foothills high above Boulder. The sun was diffused through the clouds which allowed the depth of the inner petals to be revealed in the contrast.
A dandelion is only around for a few days before it flowers and blows in the wind. So too are we. We come into the world for a short while in the scope of time, we flower and eventually we too are dust in the wind—until the next flower.

Thanks, John!
Nice to see the beauty in simple things. Eloquently stated post!
It's amazing how the dandelion found a place to take root amongst boulders, then capture your attention and inspire you to write and share your story and perspective on discovering nature's gifts.
Now every time I see dandelions blowing in the wind I will wonder where they began.

A nice capture John, especially when you add your story and the " Dust blowing in the wind" analogy.
