Colorado Rocky Mountain High
To be in the presence of the Rock Mountains—to see them, touch them and feel them—is to really understand what John Denver was singing about. I don’t think there is anything quite like it in the world.
These shots were taken inside Rocky Mountain National Park in Larimer County. The first photo is my absolute favorite. It seems to capture multiple dimensions in a single shot. Yet it doesn’t come close to the actual experience of what it’s like to be there. The last photo shows a stand of Aspen trees in the foreground.
I’m off tomorrow morning for another adventure. I’ll spend a few days at Strawberry Hot Springs in Steamboat Colorado. I am not sure of the elevation but I believe it’s around 11 or 12 thousand feet.
Have a wonderful day.

John, You are making me want to plan a vacation. I may have to un-friend you because your beautiful photos are to distracting!
John, They are spectacular! I don't know what I would do without having mountains that I can look at everyday! Great photos!
Hi John,
Gorgeous photos!
I agree with Mark (#1), your photos are making me a little jealous, as well!
Oh yeah, and thanks for putting that song into my head for the next couple of hours...
John!
Go and have a good time...
At that elevation the air is thin...Don't over do it.

Those pictures are like a breath of fresh air today for me even at that altitude. Simply beautiful. It is so hot here in Joisey today I miss the Rockies. Haven't been out there in quite a while. Nice job
John, you sure are lucky to be surrounded by all that beauty. Alabama's nice, but it's hot today and I would love to see some real mountains! :o)
