Flower Zoom

Flower Zoom

I love photographing flowers. Lately, I’ve been playing with the zoom on my camera. This series of photos are intended to mimic the viewer stepping up to the flowers to take a closer look.

The first photo was taken about five feet back with no zoom. The last one was taken at about two feet with the zoom maxed just before digital imaging.

John, My zoom is limited on my camera and this offers a great way to capture a story.  Looks like flowers from a meditaion area with bell to end the silence...

Hi John-

I love #5. You know how I love photographing flowers.  There just aren't enough hours in the day.  Thanks for bringing us these!

Hi John, great photo.  I like taking flower photos too.  This is a hibiscus from my bush.

John, zoom lenses are a lot of fun to play with, and they really give interesting and often beautiful results, great shots!

It's a lot of fun playing with those zoom lenses, and even more fun cropping the resulting pictures to get evern more zoom from them.

I can see you love your toys.  Wonder what would have happened if you had gone one more zoom level.
