White Lilly

White Lilly

The flower arrangement at church this morning was really beautiful. One flower in particular caught my eye. I believe it is a Lilly but with my mistakes on naming flowers lately it wouldn’t surprise me if it was something else.

I love the close up detail. I believe the dust-like particles are pollen. There were a couple of other exceptional flowers in the arrangement too. Perhaps I’ll post them on another day.

John, those are great shots of a lily, that is virtually busting out with pride because of it's beauty. Thanks for sharing

Hi John, I'm enjoying viewing your Sunday arrangements from the church.  Nice capture of the lily.

The lily is my favorite flower... Those are Beautiful! Thanks for sharing! The Stargazer Lily is the most beautiful by far and the smell is like nothing else. Here is one I grew a couple years ago in my kitchen.

The dust-like particles are pollen....imbedded genetically into the flower before it opened.  But, they will not come off. They are part of the grand design.  And, if you bring these beauties into your home, I suggested taking the pollen parts off because they will stain anything they touch.

Nice photo.
