Mystery Rider in the Shadow
On one of my bicycle rides up in the mountains above Boulder this past week I photographed the shadow of the mountain against the rising sun. There is a great contrast that comes out in the photo. I remember thinking how it represents the co-existence of the shadow and the light within us all. A happy and productive life is all about finding balance between the two.
The sun raised up above the mountain ridge a short time after I took the photo. It wasn’t too long after that before I was on the dirt road. And that’s when I noticed this guy following me. He seemed to come and go but I finally managed to get a photo of him. I think he followed me the rest of the day. I’m going to keep my eye out for him the next time I ride up there. He seemed like an interesting character.

John ~ The cloud in your first photo almost looks like a thumb print! I like your thought process of the co-existence of the shadow and light within us. Oh, and be careful of that guy following you. He could be dangerous!! I enjoyed this post a great deal.
