Sunset in Lyons Colorado

Sunset in Lyons Colorado

I visited a friend’s house in Lyons Colorado on Saturday evening. Lyons is a small town setting about 15 miles north of Boulder.

It was a nice potluck gathering with a few close friends and family members. The deck behind her home overlooks a large canyon and has a spectacular view of the sunset.

It was pretty cloudy most of the time but I managed to capture a couple of choice shots. One of my favorite is the one with a silhouette of a plant in the foreground.

Little irridescent poofy clouds embracing the setting light!  Mountains majesty against tranquil skies - What's not to love!

I really like all three but agree, partial to the last with the plants.  Very beautiful end to the day.
