Boulder Colorado Sunrise 8-27-10
I went for an early morning bike ride on Friday. It was my first ride since climbing to Chasm Lake near Long’s Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. I am now training to cycle Trail Ridge in the Park which is an intense climb up above 12,000 feet.
Friday morning was a beautiful sunrise. I stopped along Hwy. 36 a few miles north of Boulder in an area with a broad horizon. I took a couple of dozen photos as the sun was rising. Here are a few of the better ones.

Breathtaking! I can feel the peace!
I love watching the sunrise unfold. Some days are more stunning than others. Your photos are incredible. I bet you are glad you took your camera along for the ride.
Awesome pictures, John. Wish I could hike as you ride up the trail. I live a mile from Lake Erie so I walk to the lake as often as the weather & my schedule permits. Thanks for sharing your views.
Hi John - these are absolutely beautiful photographs, very peaceful indeed.
These pictures are so beautiful John! If it wasn't for the winters there, I would almost consider living there! Thank you for all of the wonderful shots you share of your awesome city!
